Hi Mike,

I won't be able to read the background information in detail until Friday. 
But nevertheless let's have a talk on Friday and see if there are any 
differences in general. Even if I don't think so you never know ;o)

There is no new background reading in terms of AG MFT. If you are familiar

To answer your question, I'm interested in maintaining a general
freedom of movement and association across position forming (primary
voting) facilities.  We seem to agree on this.  By "de-facto
monopoly", I only mean the lack of such freedom.  Second, I'm
interested in maintaining my own personal freedom to work on whichever
primary technology seems to me the most promising.  These two freedoms
(the general and the personal) are tightly interconnected, of course.
(I'll reply to Alex shortly.)

I agree that we should try to identify conflicts of interest before
attempting to work together.  We'll always have differences, of
course, but hopefully no serious conflicts within the scope of our
joint development work.  But this is something we need to talk about.
